Depending on the application of a product, we want to be able to guarantee a certain level of quality. For products that need to guarantee safety functions, we usually build customer-specific test equipment, with which the PCB can be programmed and all functions checked. It is also possible to include calibrations in this test process. Each PCB is given a unique identification code so that the test results can be stored in a database and the test results of a specific PCB can be retrieved at any time. The operator does not have to do much: just scan the ID code and press the start button. At the end of the test, a “good” or “bad” message appears on the screen. Everything that is “right” can be dispensed without further thought. During the test we can also check for special parameters, such as resistance to penetration, strength of RF signals, intensity of light sources, etc. That is the advantage of customisation. For standard test signals, we use standard interface modules so that we can keep the costs manageable.
