RTOS
FreeRTOS is a real time operating system, for embedded systems. Although the OS itself is open source, it can be used to create applications that do not need to be made available to third parties. The kernel is small and simple, but still offers multi-tasking capabilities, ideal for applications with real-time behaviour.
